The UNESCO edition ICT Competency Standards for Teachers: Policy Framework comes out in Russian

2009-26-08 (Moscow)

The first booklet of UNESCO series "ICT Competency Standards for Teachers" has been translated into Russian and published by the Russian IFAP Committee and its working body, the Interregional Library Cooperation Centre, with support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The booklet makes recommendations for curricula in training teachers in the sphere of information and communication technologies.

The booklet analyses the feasibility, structure and basic principles of Project ICT-CST. It explains how teachers’ enhanced competence can become part of a more extensive education reform project as nations critically analyze their education systems with the necessity of acquiring skills essential for social and economic development in the 21st century.

The booklets can be used as guides for decision-makers in education and teacher training—in particular, in drawing curricula.
